DENVER — An RTD bus struck a utility pole at Potomac Street and Hoffman Boulevard Wednesday morning, inflicting minor injuries on the driver as well as a passenger, RTD said.
The collision happened about 10:20 a.m. The pole was broken in the crash, prompting a street closure. No lines were downed, RTD said, and Xcel Energy workers were making repairs.
One passenger was hospitalized with minor injuries. The driver reportedly experienced chest pains while speaking to police and was also hospitalized for observation.
No other vehicles were involved. The bus driver will now undergo a drug and alcohol test, RTD said.
