NEW ORLEANS — A 6-second video from Thursday night’s Sugar Bowl has been watched on Vine more than 7 million times by Friday morning.

No, not from the exciting game, which Ohio State won, 42-35, over Alabama to advance to the national championship game against Oregon.

Instead the clip has many wondering what the backstory is.

The clip is entitled “When you’re at the game with your side dude and realize you’re on TV.”

The comment avalanche on Reddit is full of speculation and theory and shouldn’t be missed.

UPDATE: Gawker is reporting that the man and woman are boyfriend and girlfriend. It cited a “well-connected (in Ohio) Gawker reader” who sent a screenshot of the woman’s Facebook page.

And a woman claiming to be the cousin of a woman wrote on Twitter that the man and woman are a couple.

Still, the clip is hilarious — and funnier when you run it in reverse.
