Thousands sign petition calling for making Halloween the last Saturday of October

WASHINGTON — Thousands of people have signed an online petition that calls making Halloween happen on the last Saturday of October.

The effort on started by the Halloween and Costume Association is asking President Donald Trump to move Halloween from Oct. 31 to the last Saturday in October permanently.

It gained more than 6,000 of the 7,500 signatures needed by Thursday night.
