ENGLEWOOD, N.J. — Police have arrested two people in connection with an alleged prostitution ring at a northern New Jersey senior citizen housing complex.

Authorities arrested 75-year-old James Parham, a resident of the complex, in suspicion of running the ring, according to police.

Cheryl Chaney, 66, was also arrested and is accused of allowing residents and visitors to use cocaine in their apartments, New York’s WNBC News 4 reported.

Both Parham and Chaney have been charged with possession of drug  paraphernalia and maintaining a nuisance.

Police said Parham allowed prostitution in his apartment, but none of the alleged prostitutes were arrested.

A lack of security in the complex was believed to be part of the problem.

“Why they wait so late in life to start doing stuff they should have did years ago, or shouldn’t have touched period, why do you wait this late?” said Kevin Thomas, who has loved ones living in the building.
