ORANGE CITY, Fla. — A woman captured a wildlife photo that couldn’t have been taken anywhere but Florida.

Dana Menk was in Blue Spring State Park when she spotted an alligator that appeared to be hitching a ride on a manatee.

The park is about 30 miles north of Orlando.

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission posted the photo on its Facebook page, and it racked up thousands of shares and hundreds of comments.

Unfortunately that is a no wake zone … otherwise they would be going a lot faster,” Clayton Holmes wrote.

“That’s exactly how they’re gonna beat us,” Shlomo Sean wrote.

“Is there a Peace Rock at Blue Springs that we don’t know about? It has been a very dry season. Truce?” Jamie Barrington wrote.

“Surfing gator style,” Cindy Besner wrote.
