DENVER — Available only in Colorado and California, marijuana tampons are here to keep you mellow during that time of the month.

Foria, a company known for selling cannabis-infused products, hopes to crack the hygiene market with a new spin on the necessity.

The company has released a line of tampons containing a combination of cocoa butter, THC oil, and CBD isolate from organically grown hemp.

According to the company, the cannabinoids cause the nerves in the cervix, uterus and ovaries to relax the uterine muscles. This, supposedly, will cure the cramps that often accompany a woman’s menstrual cycle.

Aside from the controversy surrounding the ingredients, the tampons are not yet Food and Drug Administration approved nor is there any research backing up the company’s claim of pain relief.

A pack of four tampons cost $44.
