DENVER — A San Francisco man is suing Virgin American Airlines over a spat he had with a flight attendant over ordering a soda.
ABCNews reports Salvatore Bevivino boarded a flight from Philadelphia to San Francisco on April 28 last year. He used the call button to call a flight attendant and order a soda.
The attendant said he should order using the touch screen in front of his seat.
The man replied that he didn’t want to turn it on. The attendant then told him, “I don’t have time for your attitude and left,” Bevivino said.
One other flight attendant told the man the same thing before finally a third brought him a drink.
Bevivino said he was questioned by police after the flight because the attendants reported he used vulgar language. Bevivino denied it and was released.
He is now suing Virgin for $500,000.
A Virgin spokesman refused to comment citing ongoing litigation.
