ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — When Broncos general manager John Elway drafted Trevor Siemian more than 500 days ago, some fans questioned the decision. Now, Elway has responded to one of those fans — without saying a word.

The Broncos drafted the Northwestern quarterback in the seventh round of the 2015 NFL draft, and Elway took to Twitter to express his excitement about the pick at the time.

“7th rd pick Trevor Siemian had a productive career as a quarterback at Northwestern. He has raw talent and we think he will develop nicely,” Elway wrote.

But Twitter user @nfkrauss didn’t agree and tweeted Elway his thoughts.

“So many other needs, In John we trust @Broncos but this seems like a huge reach.”

After Siemian’s huge game in the Broncos’ 29-17 win over the Bengals on Sunday — a game where Siemian became the first quarterback in NFL history to throw for 300-plus yards, four touchdowns and no interceptions in his first road start — Elway decided to throw some shade.

Elway didn’t say a word. Instead, he just drew his attention back to the original tweet. Elway has since deleted the tweet, but not before several users took a screenshot of it.

It seems Twitter user @nfkrauss is now offering his sincerest apologies to the boss man.

“I stand corrected never should have doubted,” he wrote.

And even asked Elway for a plane ticket to apologize in person.

“Thanks for the call out I lived up/admitted my mistake can you fly me out to game apologize in person?” he wrote.

“Get called out by @johnelway and now I think I may be trending how does that happen #GoBroncos #ImSorry,” he added.
