DENVER — One of the new members of the Denver Zoo now has a name. A sarus crane chick was hatched on Aug. 17.

The zoo announced on Thursday she will be named Pesto.

The chick’s mother is Violetta and her father is Alfredo. Both parents and their new chick are healthy and doing fine, zoo officials said.
