LOUISA, Ky. — A group of utility workers found a fawn tangled in thick brush as they cleared a path for electric lines, according to a report from ABCNews.com.
Worker Justin Lewis picked up the deer to move it away from the dangerous work area, and the baby animal apparently decided it liked the attention.
Crews filmed Lewis cradling and rubbing the belly of the animal. Every time Lewis tried to put the fawn down, the baby started to cry.
“He followed us around the job site like a lost puppy for about an hour until I noticed a doe watching us from the hillside.,” Lewis said. “Assuming this was his mother, I carried him about halfway up the hill while she watched attentively. I sat him down, he ran straight to her, and they walked off together.”
