WHEAT RIDGE, Colo. — The FBI is asking for public assistance in identifying two individuals accused of being the “Trash Talking Bandits” after they allegedly stole $1.5 million in the largest amount of money taken in state history.

Wells Fargo is offering $50,000 for information that leads to an arrest and conviction of the two suspects who struck for a second time earlier this week.

The suspects were given the label because of their verbally abusive and aggressive demeanor during the robberies.

The first robbery was Jan. 21 at a Wells Fargo branch at 7401 Federal Blvd. in Westminster. The suspects fled in a 1992 black Jeep Cherokee, which was stolen from unincorporated north Denver.

The second robbery was Tuesday at a Wells Fargo branch at 6000 W. 44th Ave. in Westminster in which the suspects wore face coverings while using handguns. They fled in a 2004 black Honda Element, which was reported stolen in south Denver on June 14.

  • #2: Hispanic or white male, 18-30 years old, 5’7″-5’9″, medium build
