Police direct traffic in Boulder after power outage

BOULDER, Colo. — Police directed traffic at major intersections in southwest Boulder following a power outage Monday morning.

Traffic lights were out in the area west of 30th and south of Colorado, according to Boulder Police Department spokesperson Kim Kobel.

Kobel urged drivers to proceed with caution during the morning commute.

Xcel reports on its website that 3,265 customers were without power.

The cause of the outage is unknown. Power was restored two hours later.
