DENVER — A small portion of the Regional Transportation District (RTD) light rail and bus service will be temporarily interrupted in downtown during the Denver Parade of Lights on Friday, December 6 and Saturday, December 7.
The D, F and H Lines light rail service will not run between the Theatre District/Convention Center and 18th/California Stations during the following approximate times:
- Friday, December 6, from 7 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
- Saturday, December 7, from 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Please note: The D Line will continue to operate from the 18th/California Station to the 30th/Downing Light Rail Station. The C and E Lines will not be affected.
Signs will be posted at all affected light rail stations and in light rail vehicles to alert passengers of the upcoming delays. RTD personnel will be on hand during the delay periods to provide information. Passengers are encouraged to allow extra travel time for their trips.
The following bus routes will experience detours only in downtown near the Parade route on Friday, December 6, starting at 7:30 p.m. for approximately 2 ½ hours:
- Routes: 0, 1, 6, 8, 9, 10, 15, 15L, 16, 16L, 20, 28, 32, 38, 44, 48 and 52.
Note: Route 9 and 52 will begin detour at 5:30 p.m.
The following bus routes will experience detours only in downtown near the Parade route on Saturday, December 7, starting at 5:30 p.m. for approximately 2 ½ hours:
- Routes: 0, 1, 6, 8, 9, 10, 15, 15L, 16, 20, 28, 38, 44, 48 and 52.
For safety reasons, the FREE 16th Street MallRide will only be able to offer shuttle service from Denver Union Station to Market Street Station during the parade times. The MallRide will resume regular service after the parade.
