DENVER -- Instead of Rudolf the red-nosed reindeer, these presents are coming by police emergency vehicles with red lights flashing.

This Christmas tradition is 12 year running, they call it 'the long blue line.'

Riding in this line is a motorcade of 250 officers from around Colorado. They ride to honor children in the hospital during the holiday season.

Sometimes its the intangible things that make the difference on a long road to recovery.
