DENVER — Increased Thanksgiving DUI enforcement is underway in Colorado. The enforcement period runs twice as long this year as in the past.

It began Friday and will go until Nov. 28.

During last year’s five-day stepped-up enforcement period, law enforcement made 283 impaired driving arrests.

The Colorado Department of Transportation reminds people they can gauge their blood alcohol content with the “R-U Buzzed” app. The app can also connect drivers to ride services like Uber and Lyft.
