BOULDER, Colo. — Officers with the Boulder County animal control freed a rabbit that stuck in a child’s hockey net on Tuesday, the Boulder Police Department said.

The rabbit was found upside down in the 1400 block of Greenbrier Boulevard.

The homeowner told officers the rabbit had been hanging upside down for at least 20 minutes.

Officers were able to untangle the rabbit to free it.

About 15 minutes later, the rabbit came around and animal control officers confirmed it was not injured before it was released.

Officials said the rabbit scurried off in the same area it was found.
