Suspect reportedly fights driver, steals taxi cab before being arrested

DENVER — A man reportedly stole a taxi early Sunday after he got into an altercation with the cab’s driver, the Denver Police Department reported.

Curt Glinton, 23, allegedly fought with the driver of a taxi about 1:10 a.m., police said. The suspect stole the taxi in the area of 44th Avenue and Tejon Street, but was caught by police a few blocks away, DPD said.

Both the driver and the suspect suffered minor injuries in the fight.

Glinton faces charges of assault and robbery. He has previously been arrested on DUI and other nonviolent driving-related charges, according to a Colorado Bureau of Investigation report.
