DENVER — A construction worker was stabbed by another construction worker in downtown on Wednesday morning, the Denver Police Department said.

The stabbing happened about 11 a.m. at 15th and California streets. The man suffered unknown injuries.

Several other construction workers chased the suspect. An RTD bus driver said the suspect threw the knife into a sewer drain before an officer drew a gun while another officer put him into handcuffs.

What led to the stabbing remains under investigation.
