DENVER — A standoff between an armed suspect and police ended Sunday night after more than seven hours, the Denver Police Department said.

Police negotiated with the man while he barricaded himself inside a home at 1100 S. Oneida St. The man surrendered just before 6 p.m.

The incident reportedly started with a dispute between neighbors, police said. Some residents in adjoining homes were advised to stay in an interior room during the incident.

The suspect did not take any hostages but was armed, prompting SWAT teams to be called to the scene.

The suspect could face felony menacing charges.
