CASTLE ROCK, Colo. — Police in Castle Rock asked for help Sunday afternoon in locating a driver who allegedly crashed into three vehicles, including a patrol car.
A suspect in a dark-colored Chevrolet sedan reportedly sideswiped a police vehicle about 4:15 p.m. in Colorado Springs before fleeing north on Interstate 25, police said.
Officers gave chase, but ended the pursuit at mile marker 184 due to a construction zone that could have created an especially dangerous situation for bystanders in the area, according to the Castle Rock Police Department.
The suspect vehicle collided with other vehicles near I-25 and C-470 and continued north, police said.
Officers are looking for a dark Chevy Cobalt or similar sedan that has heavy front and side damage. It has a possible temporary tag of 825286M or 182586M.
The suspect is thought to be a Hispanic or Asian male.
