DENVER — It’s a dangerous trend that’s a growing problem in Colorado.

You’ve probably seen a number of reports about hash oil explosions in the news recently and Tuesday, Denver’s fire chief issued a plea to the public to weigh the risks before they try hash oil extractions at home.

The lure of making money from hash oil is high because the product is used in marijuana edibles.

But the process of getting it is highly volatile and stopping these explosions has become a top priority for fire officials.
