DENVER -- The Arapahoe High School security guard who came face-to-face with Karl Pierson when he opened fire inside the school last December is speaking publicly for the first time only on FOX31 Denver about that day.

She says the school administration ignored warning signs that led up to the shooting in which Pierson killed fellow classmate Claire Davis before he shot and killed himself.

The security guard, Christina Kolk, shared with us documents prepared and filed by school administrators that she says inaccurately portray what happened in the shooting and in other incidents involving other students.

FOX31 Denver's Justin Joseph has a follow up to his original story. The Colorado Board of Education responds to these new revelations.
