An Arvada couple is starting life over again thanks to a new program that could save thousands of lives.

Karen Gonzales received a kidney transplant because her husband, Deano Gonzales donated one of his kidneys so someone else could get a life-saving transplant.

 Karen and Deano have just shared in a miracle that stretches around the world.

Last month Karen received a kidney transplant at the University of Colorado Hospital in Aurora.

The kidney was donated by Anna who lives in the Caribbean.

They are both making what doctors call a remarkable recovery. You can see the entire story in the video clip above.
