BROOMFIELD, Colo. — The southbound Interstate 25 off- and on-ramps at Highway 7 were closed Wednesday after a semi truck overturned and spilled crude oil.

North Metro Fire tweeted photos of the truck on its side and crews working to plug the crude oil that was leaking.

The accident happened just before 8 a.m.  CDOT said the ramps reopened around 3:50 p.m.

The driver of the truck was transported to a hospital with unknown injuries. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
