ADAMS COUNTY, Colo. — Subject matter of book on high school reading list leads some parents to take action to have it removed.
Others think it should be left on the reading list because it exposes students to people and lives that they have nothing in common with.
The reason the novel “The Bluest Eye” by Toni Morrison causes concern is because it explicitly describes racism, incest and child molestation.
