COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- One Colorado Springs father gave everyone else a surprise Father's Day gift this year.

Army Specialist Robert Neuterman had been serving in Kuwait and came back early from deployment.

With the help of his wife, he managed to keep the homecoming a secret.

Not only did Robert get to surprise his children, but he surprised his own dad as well.

"He taught me how to be a good father," Robert Neuterman said about his dad. "He was always there with love and hugs, kisses and worked his butt off for us. And that's what I want to do for mine.

“That's what father's day is about. Seeing your children grow up and pray that they turn out with values. The fact that he’s serving our country and loving his family… a father couldn’t ask for anything more than that," Robert’s dad says.

The surprise certainly made for an unforgettable Father's Day for this family.
