Snowboarder dies after accident in Keystone

SUMMIT COUNTY, Colo. — A 24-year-old snowboarder from Tampa died Sunday after an accident at Keystone Resort.

At around 11 a.m., ski patrol responded to a report of a man found lying in the trees on Elk Run, an intermediate trail.

Joshua B. Allen was flown to St. Anthony’s in Lakewood where he later died from his injuries.

According to resort spokesperson Laura Parquette, Allen was wearing a helmet.

Allen had arrived to Colorado on Wednesday with two friends.
