A small plane crashed late Saturday afternoon south of Centennial Airport.
ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — One person was taken to a hospital after a small airplane crashed in a parking lot near Centennial Airport on Saturday afternoo, South Metro Fire Rescue said.
The plane hit some trees and crashed into outside the offices of a Western Union. No vehicles or pedestrians were involved.
One of the aircraft’s wings was sheared off and it rested dozens of feet from the rest of the plane. The audio recorded from the Centennial Airport tower captured the event.
First responders said this was not the first time a plane has crashed in the parking lot.
