DENVER — A crash at an intersection in downtown Denver killed a man riding a motorcycle Saturday morning, the Denver Police Department said.
It happened at East Fifth Avenue and Lincoln Street about 8:15 a.m.
Investigators said a man driving a pickup truck ran the stop sign at eastbound Fifth Avenue. The motorcyclist, who was traveling northbound on Lincoln, collided with the truck.
The motorcycle rider was taken to a hospital where he was later pronounced dead. There were no other injuries.
The man driving the pickup track was cited for careless driving resulting in death and disobedience of a stop sign.
Police reopened Lincoln Street at about 11 a.m. after their investigation.
