BOULDER, Colo. — A SWAT team search for a suspect wanted in connection with an out-of-state investigation ended after a six-hour standoff at the home of a group of University of Colorado football players on Tuesday.
The Boulder Daily Camera reported a road closure at Moorhead Avenue and South 38th Street. The report also indicated the closure was because of an ongoing police operation, the target of which was an individual wanted in Baltimore.
Donte Faison, 24, was wanted on suspicion of first-degree attempted murder in connection with a Nov. 15 incident in the major East Coast city, police said.
The Camera later reported the house is a residence for a group of CU football players. CU officials told the newspaper that Faison knew one of the players living in the house and asked if he could stay there.
Faison did not tell the player he was wanted on felony charges, a school official told the Camera.
As of 2 p.m., police said Faison had been taken into custody without incident after several hours of negotiation. The intersection had also been reopened as of that time.
