Report shows crime in Colorado increased in every category in 2015

DENVER — Crime in every category was up in 2015 in Colorado, according to a report the Colorado Bureau of Investigation released Tuesday.

Overall crime was up 6.2 percent, car thefts were up almost 28 percent, homicides nearly 15 percent and rapes increased nearly 11 percent.

The report was compiled from statewide crime statistics from 245 law enforcement agencies.
