DENVER — The 4/20 rally being held at Denver’s Civic Center Park was quickly broken up when multiple shots were fired in the area. The shooting happened just before 5 p.m. near the east side of the amphitheater. Denver Police confirmed that one male and one female were shot in the leg and suffered non life-threatening injuries. Both victims are between 20 and 30 years old. It was also reported that another victim was grazed by a bullet during the shooting.

Police are looking for two shooting suspects. One man is described as a black male with a light complexion, who is 6-foot-tall and 180 pounds. He was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, black pants, and a Carolina baseball hat. The second suspect is described as a black male who was wearing a black and white checkered shirt. There are multiple road closures including Colfax and Bannock, 13th and Bannock, 14th and Bannock and well Colfax and Delaware. Denver Police said that about 15,000 showed up to Civic Center Park Saturday.There was increased security at the 4/20 rally already because of recent Boston bombings. Denver’s 4/20 rally was reported as a “peaceful rally” before the shots were fired. SkyFox was flying over the area when the shooting occurred, and thousands of people could be seen fleeing the area.
