DENVER — Police have shut down a bar in the River North District after declaring it a public nuisance.

Westword published a photo of the notice posted by the public nuisance abatement unit dated Wednesday.

It states the bar was identified as a public nuisance because of the “unlawful discharge of a firearm.”

Earlier this week, one man was killed and another was hurt in a shooting at the bar at 27th and Larimer streets.

Tyrone “Goodie” Ivan Adair Jr., a 29-year-old rapper, died after the shooting, the Denver Office of the Medical Examiner said Monday.

According to its website, Cold Crush was holding a Broncos after-party as it does every Sunday.

Witnesses tweeted that a fight broke out and two victims were shot. A GoFundMe account has been set up in Adair’s name to help cover burial expenses.

This wasn’t the first shooting at Cold Crush.

In June 2014, three people were shot outside the bar after two men fired shots into the crowd.

Dan Roeland with the City and County of Denver’s Excise and License Department said the city attorney’s office has 10 days to decide if it wants to file a public nuisance case against the bar.

Roeland said the Excise and License Department filed a separate action against the bar, ordering it to shut down for 15 days while investigators look into “disruptive and illegal activities associated with the business.”
