DENVER — Record setting high temperatures are likely Tuesday.
With a high of 87 expected the record of 85 degrees set back in 1949 will likely be broken.
There is a slight chance of a late afternoon or evening storms in higher elevations. A red flag warning is in effect from Vail and Aspen westward from 2 to 9 p.m. because of gusty winds, low humidity, and dry ground.
We could break another record high on Wednesdays as well. But temps will turn cooler as we head into the weekend.
Showers are possible Friday afternoon through Friday night. A few showers and storms are possible Saturday.
In the higher elevations a few snow showers or rain/snow showers are possible Friday night and Saturday night. Saturday and Sunday will be the coolest days out of the next seven with highs only near 60.
