Wildlife officers tranquilized and removed Monday a moose that had been wandering around a Broomfield neighborhood for several weeks, Colorado Parks and Wildlife officials said.

Residents again spotted the moose, an 800-pound male about 2 or 3 years old, early Monday, officials said. It was seen near the Garden Center Apartments, just east of Highway 287.

Wildlife officials asked Skyfox to back off about 7:30 a.m. so they could dart and remove the moose. The were successful, and the animal was on its way out of the area by 10 a.m.
