LAKEWOOD, Colo. -- Jurassic Pets in Lakewood had two extra people inside its Wadsworth Blvd. store Thursday. They were police detectives.

Authorities continue their investigation after a number of reptiles were taken from the store early Wednesday morning.

Snakes, spiders and tarantulas were among the many reptiles taken. They are valued between $27,000 and $30,000.

The suspect, captured on surveillance tape, is still at large.

The owners are worried some of the taken tarantulas may have a dangerous bite, and they wonder if the people that have them know how to take care of the creatures.
