DENVER — Two brief rain and snow storms will move through the metro area in the next two days.

The rain hit the Denver metro area late Monday night and continued briefly into Tuesday morning. Snow is forecast along the Foothills and parts of the Palmer Divide Tuesday. In the metro area, most areas will continue see bits of rain.

Expects roads Tuesday to be wet and icy in some spots, with highs never escaping much past the 40s and another storm system set to bring evening showers to the metro area. Considering the temperatures, that rain could transition into snow.

Again, light rain or snow showers are expected for Wednesday morning, with a low Wednesday night of 33. The rest of Wednesday should clear up with highs in the upper 50s.

Temperatures will rebound later this week with highs in the mid to upper 60s for Thursday through Saturday.
