DENVER — “Operation Gown Giveaway” is designed to help members of the military and first responders create wedding day memories that will last forever.

Nicole Fagundo and Erica Geiser were selected as recipients of beautiful gowns after filling out an application.

Compleat  Couture Bridals and Formals in Centennial volunteered to provide the dresses.

Coordinator Sandra Coen said, “It makes us feel proud that we can help military brides who are either themselves going to difficult areas or their fiancees going into difficult areas to have a beautiful wedding.”

The  brides get to choose from a selection of 2,500 gowns, some even retailing for as much as $10,000.

“We’re paying for our own wedding, so this is helping out a lot,” Erica Geiser said.

The Brides Across America organization has donated more than 17,000 wedding gowns and 20 full weddings since 2000.
