COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — No active shooter was found after law enforcement and security forces completed a search of dorms at the United States Air Force Academy late Friday night and early Saturday morning.
There were reports of a possible active shooter near prep school late Friday night. An active shooter response was conducted but nothing was found.
The all clear was given and gates were reopened around 1:30 a.m. Saturday.

We received reports of active shooter on Academy grounds. There are no confirmation of shots fired. Security forces are sweeping the area.

Officials and cadets received alerts about an active shooter on campus via Twitter.
Gates at the Academy were closed and a heavy police presence on the campus was reported.
But nothing was found.
