JEFFERSON COUNTY, Colo. — A portion of eastbound Interstate 70 will close for 6 1/2 hours Sunday night into Monday morning, the Colorado Department of Transportation said Thursday.
The interstate will be closed from Kipling Street to Wadsworth Boulevard so crews can remove the existing sign bridge as part of the Garrison Street bridge widening project.
The interstate will be closed from 11 p.m. Sunday to 5:30 a.m. Monday.
Drivers will be taken off the interstate at Kipling Street. Signs will direct them east on West 44th Avenue then north to Wadsworth Boulevard and back onto the interstate.
