DENVER -- A puppy was snatched from a Denver pet shop on Saturday night.

The owners are pleading for the animal's safe return.

Workers at Aquatic Dog said two men came into the store together on Thursday.

While one man distracted an employee with questions, the other took a little Pomeranian puppy from its pen.

“He just slowly slid the cover back, lifted up the puppy and stuffed it right underneath his jacket. 1:38 he walked out and greg had saw that the puppy was gone,” said Sheila Vanderveer who works at the pet shop.

The two men reportedly got away in a gold Cadillac.

Workers are concerned about the puppy's welfare, but they're hopeful surveillance footage from the store will help lead police to the suspects.
