DENVER — FOX31 Denver and Colorado’s Own Channel 2 will offer wall-to-wall coverage of Election Night returns on Tuesday starting at 7 p.m. when voting ends and the first returns start coming in.
Coverage will begin with a special edition of Channel 2 News at 7 on KWGN, anchored by Tom Green and Kim Posey and featuring live reports from crews embedded with the candidates and analysis in the studio from political reporter Eli Stokols and a team of expert analysts.
At 8 p.m., coverage continues online at KDVR.com and KWGN.com with a live feed from the Election 2014 “War Room”, where Stokols will monitor live returns and reports from the field along with his all-star team of analysts:
- Rob Witwer, a former state lawmaker from Evergreen and the co-author of The Blueprint: How the Democrats Won Colorado and Why Republicans Everywhere Should Care
- Terrance Carroll, the first African-American Speaker of the Colorado House
- Karen Middleton, the executive director of NARAL Pro-Choice Colorado
- Eric Sondermann, Denver’s foremost independent political analyst and messaging guru
The 8-9 p.m. hour can also be seen live on Channels 2.2 and 31.2 — that’s 256 and 253 on Comcast.
At 9 p.m., coverage continues on FOX31 Denver News at 9 led by anchors Jeremy Hubbard and Deborah Takahara with live reports from around the state.
Coverage will focus on Colorado’s U.S. Senate race between Democratic Sen. Mark Udall and Republican Cory Gardner, which may decide control of the Senate itself, and the gubernatorial contest between Democratic Gov. John Hickenlooper and GOP challenger Bob Beauprez.
