BOULDER, Colo. – A youth hockey coach in Boulder repeatedly discussed masturbation with underage boys and asked players to send him nude photos of themselves, according to documents recently unsealed in the case.
Zachary Meints, 24, a former coach with the Boulder Hockey Club, faces five counts of Internet Sexual Exploitation of a Child.
According to the arrest affidavit, Meints pursued online relationships with several players under the age of 15, sending sexually suggestive text messages and exchanging messages on Facebook.

Investigators described one interview they conducted with an alleged victim.
“I asked what a typical message was from Zach (Meints). He said Zach would begin by saying hello and ask what he was doing,” the affidavit states. “Zach would say he was bored and then tell (name redacted) that masturbation was something to do when bored. Zach would ask about the size of (name redacted) penis and had asked him to send him a picture of his penis.”
According to police, Meints admitted to engaging in “Locker Room Talk” with players, and also “challenged” them on two occasions to a “masturbation race” while communicating with them on Facebook.
Meints, who was arrested in December 2011, is current free on $35,000 bond. His next court appearance is scheduled for May 30.
