Police: Teenager admits cutting down trees at memorial, other places in Longmont

LONGMONT, Colo. — Police said late Friday a 17-year-old boy admitted to cutting down trees at a memorial for a murdered couple. They also say he cut down other trees in the Longmont community.

“A student’s tip led to his identification,” a statement from Longmont police said.

It also said he admitted responsibility. “He has been referred to the Longmont Community Justice Partnership (LCJP).
