DENVER — A woman is being held for investigation of first-degree murder in the shooting of the father of her four children on Sunday night that was witnessed by one of the children, the Denver Police Department said.
Roxanne Sanchez-Jamie, 33, was arrested for investigation into the killing about 6:40 p.m. Sunday in the 16100 block of East Randolph Place. Police said 34-year-old Jose Sanchez Jaime was killed.
The Denver Office of the Medical Examiner determined the cause of death was from multiple gunshot wounds after performing an autopsy.

According to a probable cause statement, when officers arrived, they found the man in the driveway suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. He was later pronounced dead.
Sanchez-Jaime had locked herself and her four children inside the home. Police forced their way into the home and took Sanchez-Jaime into custody.
Police said while in custody, Sanchez-Jaime spontaneously uttered “shot the mother (deleted) in the head,” in front of an officer.
One of the four children told an investigator he saw Sanchez-Jamie and the man standing outside the residence near the front step.
According to the probable cause statement, the two were having a conversation when Sanchez-Jamie pulled out a handgun from the waistband area of her pants.
The 14-year-old then saw his mother shoot the victim several times, causing him to fall to the ground.
