Police shut down streets in Denver after man makes threats

DENVER — Police shut down streets near East 19th Avenue and Sherman Street, just a few blocks north of the State Capitol, after a man made threats Wednesday afternoon.

Police took the man into custody.

Investigators said the man was drunk and the threats were unfounded.

The streets later reopened.
