AURORA, Colo. — The parents of a little girl who was apparently abandoned at a Mexican restaurant were located Sunday night and were interviewed by investigators, the Aurora Police Department said.
The little girl, who appears to be about 2 years old, was discovered alone at Los Toritos (9401 East Colfax Ave.) about 2 p.m. Sunday, police said. Neither restaurant staff nor police were able to discern whose child she was or how she came to be left alone.
But just after 10 p.m., Aurora police said the girl’s parents were found and they were being interviewed.

The circumstances of how the girl appeared to be abandoned have not been released. The girl was placed in the custody of Adams County Social Services.
The girl is Hispanic and speaks only Spanish, police said. She was found wearing a red shirt with Minnie Mouse on the front and white leopard print pants. She had no shoes or socks. Her brown hair was pulled back into two ponytails.
The girl is currently being cared for by social services.
