LONGMONT, Colo. — The Longmont Police Department is looking for a man who allegedly strangled his ex-wife until she required emergency medical care.
Anthony Martin, 37, was allegedly involved in a confrontation with his ex-wife about 5 p.m. Friday night, police said. During a child exchange at Martin’s home in the 200 block of Bowen Street, he allegedly dragged her inside and assaulted her, inflicting serious strangulation injuries. The victim, 38, remained hospitalized in serious condition.
The couple’s children, ages 6 and 10, witnessed the incident, police said.
The suspect is described as a black man, standing five feet, 10 inches tall and weighing 215 pounds. He faces child abuse, assault, kidnapping and other charges.
Martin was last seen driving a 1998 four-door Mercedes sedan, white or silver in color. The license plate is 258-PUQ.
Anyone with information in the case was asked to call police.
