ended Saturday morning when he was found at a home near Lochbuie.

Jordan Montano was reported missing at 10 p.m. Friday night. The boy rode the bus to Weld Central Middle/High School with his older sister, and is believed to have gone to his classes throughout the day.

Montano’s parents first noticed that their son was not home at about 5 p.m. The boy’s parents then called Weld County Sheriff’s deputies to help with the search. His parents said that the 12-year-old does not have a history of running away.

Police said the boy doesn’t have any known gang affiliations, medical or mental issues, and is not known to use drugs or alcohol.

Reports indicated that Jordan was staying with a friend, but Weld County investigators continue to look into the incident.
