AURORA, Colo. — Aurora police released a photo of a person they call a “person of interest” in a shooting that happened outside a bar Friday night.

Detectives want to know who the man is and speak with him, police said in a statement.

Sgt. Cassidee Carlson with Aurora Police said officers responded to the 700 block of N. Peoria Street just after 2 a.m on reports of an assault with a gun.

When police arrived, they found a man lying in the parking lot of the Fuego Fuego bar, suffering from a gunshot wound.

The man was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead a few hours later, Carlson said.

Police said they are looking for an early 2000s-model year gold or tan Pontiac Grand Am with tinted windows.

There is a $3,000 reward for information leading the arrest and conviction of the suspect in this case.
